Capvis has sold outstanding ordinary shares of Polytec Group

On May 11th, 2007, the private equity funds Capvis (C.I.) Ltd. and Capvis Equity II LP, both exclusively advised by Capvis Equity Partners Ltd., Zurich have together sold all their outstanding ordinary shares of Polytec Group, representing 7,8% of the share capital after the expiring of the lock-up period.

The transaction was conducted over the counter through UniCredit Group (BA-CA). 1,742,408 shares were subsequently sold to various institutional investors.

Capvis (C.I.) Ltd. bought a majority of Polytec in 2000. Together with its founder, CEO and minority shareholder, Mr. Friedrich Huemer, Polytec grew organically and via a number of add-on acquisitions to over € 500m in sales by 2005. In April 2006, Polytec went public on the Vienna Stock exchange.
